Llama-3.2-3B-CD-ScienceWorld
Llama-3.2-3B-Instruct trained with CD on ScienceWorld: context distillation: supervised fine-tuning on the self-teacher's responses, every training state visited twice.
The training data come from the base model's own ScienceWorld trajectories; no environment is run during training. At evaluation the model acts from the ordinary prompt alone.
Results
ScienceWorld, 384 held-out episodes, in percent:
| Policy | Success | Progress |
|---|---|---|
| Base policy | 9.6 | 22.1 |
| CD (this model) | 21.4 | 53.4 |
| OPCD | 21.1 | 49.4 |
| CDUP | 38.3 | 60.2 |

Training
Full fine-tuning of meta-llama/Llama-3.2-3B-Instruct on 4,058 self-teacher targets from 4,660 deployment states: 8,116 visits, 127 updates, learning rate 1e-5, effective batch 64.
Evaluation protocol
Seven task types (find-animal, find-living-thing, find-non-living-thing, find-plant, and the three lifespan tasks), easy preset, a five-step history window, a 30-step limit, temperature 0.4.
